Best Oral Presentation Award @ 2nd Young Researchers Day 2017 organized by National Health Institute Dr. Ricardo Jorge for Geriatric Study in Portugal on Health Effects of Air Quality in Elderly Care Centers. Congratulations to all that contribute to the development of this Study.

Arnaldo Sampaio 2016 Award assigned to the GERIA Project - Geriatric Study in Portugal on Health Effects of Air Quality in Elderly Care Centers. The Portuguese Association for the Promotion of Public Health (APPSP), establishes the Arnaldo Sampaio Award in order to honor the memory of Professor Arnaldo Sampaio and encourage research in the field of public health. The Arnaldo Sampaio 2016 Award is sponsored by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. The prize award ceremony will take place during the V National Congress of Public Health, on February 16^th at Porto. The recommendations of the GERIA Project are published in the project E-BOOK and on the DGS Website.

Best Oral Communication in respiratory disorders: 19th Portuguese Congress of Cardiopulmonology, held in Oeiras from 28 - 30 March 2014.

Taylor & Francis Book Award: The GERIA Research Team was awarded with a Taylor & Francis Book Award during the International Conference on Occupational & Environmental Toxicology (ICOETox 2013). Congratulations to all that contribute to the development of this Study.

SEMINAR 'ACTIVE AGEING: SHAPING THE FUTURE' 11th DECEMBER 2012

This event took place last 11th of December 2012 at Rivoli Teatro Municipal in Porto.

The Seminar was organised by the Environmental Health Department of the Portuguese National Health Institute Dr. Ricardo Jorge and sponsored by Porto Social Foundation.

Multidisciplinary subjects about Active Ageing and Elderly Health and Education were discussed by a wide group of researchers from acknowledged Institutions.

II MEETING OF RESEARCHERS IN AGING

GERIA project principal researcher Dr. João Paulo Teixeira was invited to participate in the II Meeting of Researchers in Aging. This event took place at Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian on last April 18th, where several other projects about elderly and aging were presented. Congratulations to the organisers RUTIS - Senior Universities Network for approaching this subject and create a network of dialogue and knowledge exchange in this field.
